Following a tech rehearsal earlier this week at Meadowlands Arena in East Rutherford, NJ, last night Roger Waters kicked off his North American tour at the Sprint Arena in Kansas City. Rogers opened with the Pink Floyd classic “Breathe” and his set also featured such Floyd staples as “The Great Gig in the Sky,” “Welcome to the Machine,” “Money,” “Brain Damage” and “Eclipse.” Waters and his touring band, which includes guitarist Jonathan Wilson and Lucius, (who first backed him at the 2015 Newport Folk Festival along with My Morning Jacket), also performed some material from his forthcoming album Is This the Life We Really Want? such as: “Déjà Vu,” “The Last Refugee” “Picture That” and “Smell the Roses.”
