Umphrey’s McGee have announced they will be without Jake Cinninger for a run of shows this week, as the guitarist has come down with a “wicked flu,” according to a post on the band’s Facebook page.

Umphrey’s will play a run of four nights in a row starting tonight at College Street Music Hall in New Haven, CT, and the band’s post also reminded fans that they will be welcoming saxophonist and frequent collaborator Joshua Redman all week long. It is unclear how many shows Cinninger will be forced to sit out, as the group just wrote “the next few shows.”

These won’t be the first shows without a Umphrey’s member, as the band has previously played without keyboardist Joel Cummins in January 2010 and have also been forced to go on with out Andy Farag and Brendan Bayliss on separate occasions.
