The Dead & Company summer tour rolled along last night at Klipsch Music Center in Noblesville, IN, with a performance that included two live debuts for the band, including a Bob Dylan cover, along with plenty of Grateful Dead favorites.

The first set kicked off with a “blues” run of “New Minglewood Blues” into “Cumberland Blues” and also included “Black Throated Wind,” “Althea” and a set-closing run of “Lost Sailor” > “Saint of Circumstance.”

Set number two introduced the band’s cover of Dylan’s “A Hard Rain’s A-Gonna Fall” that came out of the set opener “Dark Star.” Watch a video of that performance above. The rest of the frame was a seamless mix of Dead staples like “New Speedway Boogie,” “St. Stephen,” “Drums/Space” and “Going Down the Road Feelin’ Bad.”

For the encore, the band debuted their version of “Black Muddy River,” which was the encore of the last show Jerry Garcia ever played with the Grateful Dead in Chicago on July 9, 1995.

Next up for Dead & Co. is a performance at Camden, NJ’s BB&T Pavilion this Monday, June 20.
