In a fan Q&A streamed live on Periscope yesterday (via Jambase ), Bob Weir promised “plenty of both” Dead & Company and RatDog in the future, also hinting at possible new music from the Grateful Dead/John Mayer collaboration.

“We talk about all that kind of stuff,” Weir says about Dead & Company’s plans for new music. “We’re not ready to do that yet, but it’s a goal of ours.” In the interview that mostly covered Weir’s thoughts on environmental issues, the guitarist also said that he is pushing for the band to change it’s name to DeadCo, which, in his opinion, is “a lot easier to say.”

Dead & Company haven’t officially revealed any tour plans for 2016, but it has been rumored that they will headline Bonnaroo this summer.
