Umphrey’s McGee guitarist Jake Cinninger played a rare solo show at the Tonic Room in Chicago last night. Throughout the set, Cinninger stuck with some of his classic covers in the UM repertoire, including Fleetwood Mac’s “Dreams,” Def Leppard’s “Hysteria,” Bob Seger’s “Night Moves,” Marshall Tucker Band’s “Can’t You See” and SRV’s “Lenny.”
The guitarist also dipped into some other covers like Zeppelin’s “Dancing Days,” Pink Floyd’s “Mother,” The Cars’ “Moving in Stereo” and Stone Temple Pilots’ “Plush,” among others. Cinninger did break out some UM material as well, including “Nopener,” “Bad Poker” and “Wizard Burial Ground.” The guitarist was armed with an acoustic and bass guitar, drum machine and keyboard throughout the show.
Watch a video of “Plush” above.
