The British television program and charity movement Don’t Stop The Music is coming to the United States next year.

DSTM started in 2014 and has inspired a movement across the pond to support music education in schools in a variety of ways. The American version will premiere in late 2016 in the form of a PBS documentary series, hosted by Harry Connick Jr., which will visit various schools across the nation and hold events with special musical guests for the students.

An instrument drive will also be held, along with a culminating concert event featuring students that were on the series playing with professional musicians. DSTM will also promote a nationwide instrument recycling program to help thousands of students gain access to music in schools that would otherwise not be able to afford instruments.

Artists attached to the program so far include Paul McCartney, Aretha Franklin, My Morning Jacket, Aloe Blacc, O.A.R., Rhiannon Giddens, Buddy Guy, Lyle Lovett and more.

More information on the program can be found via the DSTM website, and you can donate to their Kickstarter here.
