David Gilmour plans to tour North America in 2016. Consequence of Sound reports that the Pink Floyd guitarist revealed the news during a Q&A session at the Borris House Festival of Writing and Ideas in Carlow, Ireland last weekend. The publication has pointed out that someone from the monthly Pink Floyd fan podcast Brain Damage attended the event, where Gilmour revealed that he plans to hit the road on this side of the pond next year.

Gilmour also shared a few more pieces of information during his appearance at the festival, including the name of his highly anticipated solo album, and performed two songs—“Girl with a Yellow Dress” and “Boots on the Ground”—from the upcoming release. The record, which is set to be titled Rattle That Lock, does not currently have a release date.

Gilmour’s planned North American run will mark the first time that the legendary rocker has toured stateside since his 2006 outing in support of his last solo album, On an Island. As previously reported, he will also be playing his first tour dates in almost ten years this September, when he makes a few stops in Europe.
