Emmylou Harris was the latest guest on Dave Matthews Band’s summer tour as last night at The Wharf in Alabama, the vocalist came out on a series of tunes in both sets.

To start, the band played Dylan’s “Oh, Sister” for the first time ever with Harris sharing vocals with Matthews. While this was a DMB debut, the song has been performed by Matthews at solo gigs and was a prominent tune on the Dave and Friends tour in 2003 and 2004 when Harris opened for the band on a series of dates. To close the acoustic set, Matthews and Harris played “Gulf Coast Highway,” which they last played during their 2000 set on Austin City Limits.

Harris returned in the electric set for “Long Black Veil,” a song DMB regularly has female vocalists on. Next up for DMB is a show tonight in Tuscaloosa, AL.
