Jon Fishman’s comedy-rock project Touchpants will hit the road later this summer, playing a series of shows around Fishman’s commitments to Phish. The band—which also features Chris Friday, Colby Dix and Aram Bedrosian—will kick things off on July 27 at The Parish in Austin, TX prior to Phish’s July 28 show at the Austin360 Amphitheater.

Additional stops include August 12 at the Ardmore Music Hall in Philadelphia following Phish’s show at The Mann, August 16 at the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC following the second of Phish’s two shows at Merriweather Post Pavilion and, finally, a pair of shows in Denver, CO at Cervantes Other Side on September 3 and 4. The Colorado gigs will take place when Phish stakes their claim to Dick’s Sporting Good Park over Labor Day Weekend.

We recently spoke with Jon Fishman, Chris Friday, Colby Dix and Aram Begrosian about Touchpants’ upcoming album, as well as their summer shows, their songwriting process, their economic development/clean water initiatives and much more. Check out the new interview here.
