Newport Folk Festival will honor the 50th anniversary of Bob Dylan’s landmark performance at the Newport, RI festival when he famously plugged in and went electric.

Billed as ’65 Revisited, the collaboration will find, according to festival producer Jay Sweet, nearly a dozen contemporary artists coming together to celebrate the performance. The set will close out the festival. Dylan, however, will not appear.

Newport Folk Fest kicks off July 24 in Newport, RI. Additional headliners include Roger Waters and The Decemberists.
