STS9 took to New Orleans this weekend for a pair of shows surrounding the Buku Music and Art Project where the group would play a set as well as an official after party at the Joy Theater. Friday’s festival set included a cover of Miles Davis’ “Black Satin” which the group previously played during their New Year’s Day improv-only set in Denver.

On Saturday night, the band appropriately debuted a cover of The Meters’ “Cissy Strut” during their late night show. That show also featured some snippets of 50 Cent’s “In Da Club” during the first set.

Next up for STS9 is the first of three shows at the Georgia Theatre in Athens, GA beginning March 19.
