Greensky Bluegrass celebrated New Year’s Eve close to home with a show at Grand Rapids, MI’s The Intersection. The group performed a nearly three-hour show in front of a sold-out crowd, including over half a dozen of their new songs, as well as a healthy dose of covers. The members of Greensky wore white tuxedos throughout the show and nodded to their festive attire with a take on ZZ Top’s “Sharp Dressed Man,” which includes the phrase “white suits.” Right before midnight, the band also covered Bruce Spingsteen’s “Dancing in the Dark,” which led into a New Year’s Countdown seguing and the traditional “Auld Lang Syne.”
Greensky Bluegrass’ Anders Beck & Paul Hoffman are currently aboard Jam Cruise 12 as special guests, performing with a variety of groups and collaborations aboard the floating festival ship. The band kicks up the touring next week when they hit Indianapolis, IN’ Vogue Theater.
