Phil Lesh took the stage last night with the Terrapin Family Band at Brooklyn Bowl as a celebration of Lesh’s recently inked deal with Brooklyn Bowl owner and operator Peter Shapiro.
Joined by sons Grahame and Brian along with Ross James and Alex Koford, Lesh and the band moved through one set of music that featured a mix of Grateful Dead material as well as additional covers such as “Up on Cripple Creek,” “Ramble On Rose” and “Samson & Delilah.” The surprise of the show came when guitarist Eric Krasno joined the group on stage for a rendition of “Henry Hill” and “Playin’ In The Band.”
Krasno returned later in the set for a series of tunes that closed the nearly two and a half hour show, including “Wharf Rat,” “Sugar Magnolia,” “Cassidy” and “Goin’ Down the Road Feelin’ Bad.” The show closed with an encore of “Help on the Way,” “Slipknot!,” “Franklin’s Tower” and an acoustic “Attics of My Life.”
Lesh and Krasno recently collaborated in Central Park with the help of drummer Joe Russo for an impromptu jam as a part of the Jazz & Colors Festival.
Here’s a look at the setlist as it appears in our Box Scores section:
