Despite canceling the final day’s festivities due to severe flooding in the Austin area, Austin City Limits Festival organizers announced today the festival will once again be held over two weekends in 2014. The first weekend will take place October 3-5 with the second coming the following week October 10-12.

Also, according to Michael Corcoran, there will be a free show tonight at The Belmont in Austin. Red Baraat and The Lone Bellow will perform beginning at 9 P.M. Both acts were originally scheduled to perform at ACL today. In addition, Franz Ferdinand singer Alex Kapranos tweeted that Atoms for Peace will be playing ACL Live tonight as well. Kapranos had some NSFW words for ACL organizers, as he believed Franz Ferdinand would be performing instead of Atoms for Peace. Ferdinand will instead play at The Infest in Austin. This all correlates with a tweet from ACL Live about a “big announcement” coming soon.

UPDATE: Atoms for Peace will play ACL Live tonight at 8 P.M. It appears as if entry will be $10 and the line is already roughly a few hundred people deep.

The Mowgli’s will also play a free show in Austin tonight at Lamberts. Doors are at 9 P.M. Small Pools will open the show at 10 P.M.
