Bob Dylan covered a Richard Thompson song by request last night during the AmericanaramA Tour’s stop at the DTE Energy Music Theatre in Clarkston, MI. Dylan played Thompson’s “1952 Vincent Black Lightning” toward the end of his set, which otherwise did not stray much from previous shows from the current tour. The Richard Thompson Trio also performed the evening opening set.

Another notable event from last night’s show took place during Wilco’s performance, when the band invited Thompson to join them for a set-closing cover of The Beatles’ psychedelic masterpiece “Tomorrow Never Knows.” Thompson also sat in for a take on “California Stars” and a rendition of Fairport Convention’s “Sloth.”

The AmericanaramA tour make its way to the Molson Amphitheater in Toronto, ON this evening.
