Bloodkin opened for Widespread Panic at Missoula, MT’s Big Sky Brewing last night. Widespread Panic’s second set kicked off with “Pigeons,” and the band proceeded to offer two lengthy segues of music: “Gimme,” “Little Kin,” “Barstools & Dreamers” and “Blue Indian” as well as “Tie Your Shoes,” “Drums,” “Pusherman” and “Nobody’s Loss.” The anthem “Ain’t Life Grand” closed the 80-minute set.

For their encore, Panic invited back Bloodkin’s Daniel Hutchens (acoustic guitar, vocals) and Eric Carter (guitar) to play on two of their own songs, “Who Do You Belong To?” and “End of the Show.” Widespread Panic has covered both Bloodkin songs since the mid-90s. The Bloodkin members also sat in with Panic on Saturday.
