Ween guitarist Mickey “Dean Ween” Melchiondo sat in with Les Claypool at New York’s Gramercy Theatre on Saturday night. The Primus leader was in New York with his new, acoustic project Duo De Twang. Dean Ween emerged during Claypool’s set for a cover of the Jimmy Driftwood-written, Johnny Horton-recorded country song “Battle of New Orleans.”

Later in the evening, the guitarist returned for “Pipeline” and “Cocaine Blues.” As Claypool joked about onstage, the two oddball musicians are working on a fishing reality television show. The bassist said that they will soon be on a “runway fashion television program.” Primus will perform at Napa, CA’s Bottle Rock Festival on May 9,
