Jazz at Lincoln Center has announced the Chick Corea Festival. The event, which takes place May 15-May 19, will feature a command performance by Corea and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis in the Rose Theater on May 16,17, and 18.

The festival will also include a number of intimate sets at Dizzy’s Club Coca Cola. Various of musicians that have been chosen by Corea himself, including Edsel Gomez, Elio Villafranca, Marcus Roberts, the Alfredo Rodriguez Trio and Henry Cole and The Afrobeat Collective, will perform tunes composed and inspired by Corea.

On May 17 and 18, Israeli artist Gadi Lehavi and Georgian-born Beka Gochiashvili will be joined by bassist John Patitucci, trumpeter Wallace Roney, and drummer Marcus Gilmore in performances of Corea-arranged music in the Allen Room. All concertgoers are invited to a free pre-concert festival in the Atrium on May 17 and 18 at 6:30pm.

Tickets to the Rose Theater concerts are currently on sale for $30, while tickets to the other shows can be purchased for various prices.
