Bassist Catherine Popper will participate in a Levon Helm tribute next month. The multi-act bill will take place at New York’s Hill Country on November 19. Popper has played bass with Grace Potter & The Nocturnals, Ryan Adams & the Cardinals and Norah Jones, among others. She is currently on tour as a member of Jack White’s solo band. The evening will also feature Suzanna Choffel, Bug & Bru from the Defibulators, Fredro Perry with The Cheating Hearts and other surprise guests. Proceeds will help save Helm’s legendary Woodstock barn and keep his Midnight Rambles alive.
