Phish checked Oklahoma off the list of states the group has never performed in last night with a show at the Oklahoma City Zoo Amphitheatre. While Tuesday’s performance at Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, MO saw the group bust-out numerous rarities, last night’s show featured mostly common rotation tunes. However, “Divided Sky,” which seen significantly less play in 2012, returned for only its second time of the year, closing a 22 show gap between the two versions.
The second set kicked off with “Down with Disease,” and featured a nearly continuos run of songs, aside from a single break in play to make room for the heartfelt ballad “If I Could.” While the group favored shorter, more contained jams on this evening, highlight segments did emerge during the aforementioned “Down with Disease” as well as during “Light.” The show closed out with the double encore combination of “Slave to the Traffic Light” followed by “Loving Cup.” “Slave to the Traffic Light” received a particularly positive response, thanks in part to the venue-appropriate line “see the city/see the zoo.”
Phish close out their 2012 Summer Tour with a three night run at Dicks Sporting Goods Park in Denver, CO this weekend.
Here’s a look at last night’s setlist as it appears in our Box Scores section.
