Wellesley, MA’s Addison Groove Project will reunite for a show at Boston, MA’s Paradise Rock Club on Saturday, September 15. Wyllys—a longtime friend of the band—will open the show.

A onetime Jambands.com New Groove of the Month, AGP formed at Wellesley High School in 1997. The group toured on the weekends and summers through May of 2003, while the members of the band attended various colleges throughout the Northeast. In 2004, the band lost bassist John Hall—whose father Rev. Addison Hall inspired the group’s name—to cancer.

After touring nationally and making appearances at festivals including Bonnaroo, AGP played their last show at the Paradise Rock Club on March 3, 2007. Since that time lead singer/guitarist Brendan McGinn has pursued a medical degree while keyboardist Rob Marscher performed as part of Matisyahu’s band. The reunion shows will feature longtime members McGinn, Marshcer, Dave Adams (alto sax), Ben Groppe (tenor sax) and Andrew Keith (drums). As of press time this the band’s only confirmed date. AGP also recorded their 2002 album Wicked Live 2 at the Boston haunt.
