Though Furthur has the night off from their extended Beacon Theatre residency, guitarist John Kadlecik will make the most of his time in New York. The onetime Dark Star Orchestra leader will play an acoustic set opening for The Jam Stampede at New York’s Gramercy Theatre. The Jam Stampede features a mix of musicians with ties to the Grateful Dead world, including Zen Tricksters Klyph Black, Tom Circosta and Dave Diamond. Mike Miz, and Wayne Scheller round out the band’s lineup. Kadlecik and Furthur will return to the Beacon tomorrow.
