Phil Lesh hosted his second official show at his new San Rafael, CA club Terrapin Crossroads last night. Like the first night of the venue’s opening celebration, the show featured the core band of Lesh, Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson, Widespread Panic guitarist Jimmy Herring, singer/songwriter Jackie Greene, RatDog/Furthur keyboardist Jeff Chimenti and Duo/Furthur drummer Joe Russo as well as the bassist’s sons Grahame Lesh and Brian Lesh. The evening featured a mix of Grateful Dead classics, including a version of the classic “Dark Star” that dipped into The Beatles’ “A Day in the Life.” Robinson also sang lead on a cover of Traffic’s “Feelin’ Alright,” while Brian Lesh sang lead on “Let Me in The Rain.”
