Widespread Panic keyboardist Jojo Herman, and New York City-based singer-songwriter, Sherman Ewing will hit the road in April as Missing Cats. Playing with only a piano and acoustic guitar on stage, Hermann and Ewing combine a New Orleans-style boogie with raw, emotive songwriting.

The musical pair have been playing clubs together since they first met in New York in 1983. Discovering a shared passion for songwriting, the classmates formed Sherman and the Bureaucrats before embarking on their own respective musical paths. After years apart, Herman and Ewing officially reunited in 2006 to write new songs, which laid the groundwork for Missing Cats. Drawing material from Sherman’s 2011 solo album, Single Room Saloon (which features lyrical contributions from Tom Marshall), and Herman’s three solo efforts, Missing Cats toured for the first time in 2009.

In March, Jojo and Sherman will record the first Missing Cats record with Grammy Award winning producer Jon Randall Stewart. In April, the group will return to the road to demo their new batch of songs on the live stage. Check out the full list of dates below.
