New Mastersounds headlined New York’s Highline Ballroom on Friday night. The Soul Rebels Brass Band opened the show and later joined the evening’s headliners during their set. In addition, Sam Kininger Band drummer Nikki Glaspie and Fox Street Allstars guitarist Jonathan Huvard sat in with the group at various points throughout the night. Finally, guitarist Jamie McLean emerged for a take on “Minx.” New Mastersounds are off to Japan for a show at Osaka’s Shangri-La on December 3.
