Brothers Past has confirmed a New Year’s Eve tour. The run is the culmination of the group’s 10th anniversary tour. In addition to a previously confirmed opening spot for the Disco Biscuits at New York’s Best Buy Theater on December 28, the outing will include stops at Albany, NY’s Jillian’s (12/29), Philadelphia’s The Blockley (12/30) and Richmond, VA’s The Canal Room (12/31). This is the first year the quartet has played a proper New Year’s Eve show outside their native Philadelphia.

“We’ve done some late-night New Years Eve parties in other cities, but this is the first time we’re really throwing our own New Years Eve party somewhere other than Philly,” frontman Tom Hamilton said in a statement. “ But we’ve played some great shows in Richmond over the years and the fans have always been really supportive of the band there. So it feels good to be doing it in a city like that.”

The New Years Eve show will also include a special late-night set by Eliott Lipp and an opening set from local faves Existor. The band is currently working on a new album, slated for release during the first half of 2012.
