Founding Meters bassist George Porter Jr. is currently in New York for a three-night run at Brooklyn, NY’s Brooklyn Bowl with the funky Meters. Porter has just announced that he will stay in the city for an encore George Porter Jr. & Friends performance at the Bowl tomorrow, September 16. In addition to the bassist, the jam session’s confirmed lineup includes Eric Krasno (Soulive, Lettuce), Adam Deitch (Lettuce, Break Science) and Neal Evans (Soulive, Lettuce).

The funky Meters will close their Bowl run tonight. Porters and The Meters are featured on the cover of the September issue of Relix.
