Last night, Marco Benevento performed at Burlington, VT’s Parima as a member of Surprise Me Mr. Davis. As in turns out, Benevento will spend a good amount of time in the Burlington area this year. The keyboardist has confirmed a weekly residency at the intimate Burlington coffee house Radio Bean this fall. The venue is best known for hosting the Honky Tonk Tuesday jams that spawned Mike Gordon’s Ramble Dove. Benevento hosted similar residencies at New York’s Tonic (2006), New York’s Sullivan Hall (2008) and Oakland, CA’s Yoshi’s (2009). In addition to his trio, several special guests are expected.

While in Burlington, Benevento will also perform his original live score of the 1960 horror film The Fall of The House of Usher. Appropriately enough, the performance will take place right before Halloween at Burlington, VT’s Flynn Space on October 29.
