New York promoters Rocks Off have organized concert cruises around Manhattan for over a decade. On August 27, Rocks Off will celebrate its 11th anniversary with a special late night boat cruise on The Half Moon. The night will feature performances by Jonny Corndawg and Screamin’ Cheetah Wheelies’ Mike Farris, the latter of whom will be backed by the The Rocks Off Rhythm Revue (RANA guitarist Scott Metzger, former Gov’t Mule/Black Crowes bassist Andy Hess and drummer Josh Dion). The boat will depart East 23rd Street and the FDR Highway in Manhattan at 11:55pm. The night will double as a birthday party for Rocks Off founder Jake Szufnarowski, who is also the frontman of the metal Bee Gees tribute band Tragedy. All tickets include an open bar package.
