
Ohio’s The Werks have a busy summer ahead, including appearances at such festivals as Electric Forest, Camp Bisco, North Coast, All Good, Summer Camp and Wakarusa. The group will also host its second annual Werk Out Festival from September 8-11.
The multi-band event will feature two nights of The Werks as well as performances by Dark Star Orchestra, EOTO, Kyle Hollingsworth Band, Donna Jean Godchaux Band, Ganga Giri, The Everyone Orchestra, former Allman Brothers Band keyboardist Johnny Neel, Jamie Janover and Family Groove Company. Other acts confirmed to appear include: RoeVy, The Twin Cats, The Floorwalkers, Fiddleworms, Romeo Champagne, Jones for Revival, Blue Moon Soup, Wheels, Soul Rebels, Fletcher’s Grove, The Folkadelics and Glostik Willy.
For the first time ever, at The Werk Out Festival Dark Star Orchestra will recreate a Jerry Garcia Band show in its entirety. Donna Jean Godchaux—who played in both the Grateful Dead and the Jerry Garcia Band—will help the group recreate the show.
The Werk Out Festival will take place at Zane Shawnee Caverns in Bellefontaine, OH.
