The members of Deer Tick played a set of Nirvana covers at Austin’s SXSW as Deervana this past weekend. The show was a success and the band will revive the stunt at Brooklyn, NY’s Brooklyn Bowl on June 19 as apart of the Northside Music Festival. The band warns, “This will be a night of all Nirvana covers with no Deer Tick songs, so if you are looking for the Tickhead staples, this is not the night for you. But if you are like the rest of us who grew up in between Bleach and In Utero, this is DEFINITELY a show not to be missed.” Deek Trick plans to record its next studio album this spring.
