Furthur opened its latest tour in Boston this past Friday night and each of the group’s first three shows featured a nod to a classic Beatles album. On Friday at the Orpheum, Furthur opened the night with “Come Together.” Then on Saturday, the second song of the evening was the group’s debut take on “Something.” Sunday’s third tune was the group’s first-ever performance of “Maxwell’s Silver Hammer.” As astute Beatles fans have noticed, these song selections line-up perfectly with the order of tracks on Abbey Road. Tonight the band moves on to the Oakdale Theatre in Wallingford, CT and if the pattern holds, the fourth song of the night will be “Oh!
