Steve Kimock will host Wednesday night residency at New York’s Sullivan Hall on March 23, March 30 and April 6. Each week Kimock will perform with a different group of musicians—some of whom the versatile guitarist has never performed with onstage. The first two shows of the Sullivan Hall run will feature two sets of Kimock while Moonalice will open the final night of the residency.

“Whatever it is that I am, as recognizable as a guitarist, it hasn’t been built up to, its been whittled down from” Kimock said in a statement. “You just pull it apart piece-by-piece until all that’s left is stuff that can’t fall off.”

Marco Benevento hosted a similar residency at the club in 2008. Kimock performed at Sullivan Hall on January 1 with Grateful Dead drummer Bill Kreutzmann, The Meters’ George Porter Jr. and keyboardist Nigel Hall.
