Robert Randolph and The Family Band will perform in San Francisco at the Independent tonight and on Saturday. The group arrived in town a bit earlier, however, and last evening Randolph made his way to The Fillmore. There he joined moe. at the beginning of their second set, appearing on pedal steel for “Brent Black” and “Californ IA.” At the close of the evening, moe. also treated fans to its first electric “Queen Of The Rodeo” since 3/2/05 (the band performed an acoustic version in the Dominican Republic earlier this month). Tonight, moe. heads to Hollywood for a show at The Music Box.
