The Disco Biscuits closed a four-show, two-venue Colorado run last night at Denver’s Ogden Theater. Friday night’s performance at the Boulder Theater featured the return of “Trucker’s Choice” and “Therapy,” songs that had not been played since September 17, 2009 and October 9, 2009, respectively.
All four members of the Disco Biscuits also performed late night shows at Boulder, CO’s Fox Theatre. Bassist Marc Brownstein and keyboardist Aron Magner led a full band Conspirator show—featuring RAQ guitarist Chris Michetti and Pretty Lights/Lettuce drummer Adam Deitch—Thursday night. STS9 bassist David Murphy—who lives in the area and has sat in with Conspirator on numerous occasions—also joined the group throughout its set. Meanwhile, Disco Biscuits guitarist Jon Gutwillig performed with his new band with Michetti called Sub:Station Thursday night while drummer Allen Aucoin played with his Dr. Fameus solo project Saturday night. Aucoin brought out a few guests during his set, including Magner and bassist Aaron Goldberg (a member of Aucoin’s former band Skydog Gypysy).
The Disco Biscuits will perform next at the Mayan Holidaze event on January 20.
