Guitarist Jimmy Vivino is perhaps best known to Relix/Jambands.com readers as a member of the Fab Faux and a steady contributor to the Levon Helm Band. For many years, Vivino also served as the guitarist and deputy band leader of the Max Weinberg 7 band featured on Late Night with Conan O’Brien and, for a few months, The Tonight Show.

Last night, O’ Brien debuted his new Conan show on TBS. With Weinberg gone, the program’s house band has been officially re-branded Jimmy Vivino and the Basic Cable Band. O’ Brien and the evening’s musical guest, Jack White, joined the band at the end of the program for a cover of Eddie Cochran’s “Twenty Flight Rock.” The talk show host and the members of the Basic Cable Band recorded the song in Nashville, TN with White earlier this summer.

The White Stripes was the final group featured on Late Night with Conan O’Brien. According to last night’s program, O’Brien and White met in the late ‘90s while bowling.
