John McLaughlin will kick off his latest tour in Quebec City next Wednesday, November 10. McLaughlin, the veteran of the Miles Davis electric band as well his own Mahavishnu Orchestra and the Shakti project will perform with his current group the 4th Dimension, which features Gary Husband (keys & drums), Etienne Mbappé (bass), Mark Mondésir (drums). In anticipation of these shows, he will join The Roots tonight on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. McLaughlin’s forthcoming tour includes a show with Jimmy Herring in Boston on November 16 and the New Universe Festival in Raleigh, NC on November 21 (an interview with New Universe Festival founder Souvik Dutta has just posted to the site).
