Cornmeal has announced its Halloween and Thanksgiving plans. Unlike many groups, the band will actually celebrate Halloween on October 31 with a show at Urbana, IL’s The Canopy Club. The Wood Brothers and local favorites Zmick and Mathien will open. In related news, the band will host its annual hometown Thanksgiving Weekend show at Chicago’s Vic Theater on Saturday, November 27. Special guests are expected.

This past Wednesday Cornmeal shared a bill with Tea Leaf Green at Las Vegas’ Hard Rock Café. During TLG’s set, Cornmeal’s Allie Kral played fiddle on “I’ve Been Seeking,” “Germinatin’ Seed” and “7th Story.” Cornmeal will appear at Ft. Collins, CO’s Aggie Theatre this evening.
