The original Samples lineup reunited for a performance at Commerce City, CO’s Mile High Festival earlier this summer. Though Samples leader Sean Kelly continued to perform under the Samples name through 2008, the show marked the first time the original Samples lineup performed together in almost 15 years.

Kelly and original Samples keyboardist Al Laughlin will perform together once again later this month as The Sean Kelly Experience. The musicians will take the stage at Denver, CO’s Herman’s Hideaway on September 11. In addition to the Samples co-founders, the Experience will feature Ryan Macmillan (Matchbox 20), Rob Somers and Rich Ross. Laughlin originally left the Samples in 1997.
