Phish returned to Hartford, CT’s The Comcast Theatre last night for the first part of a two-night run. The band’s performance at the venue last year—which took place on the anniversary of Coventry—featured a number of notable bust outs, including “Col. Forbin’s Ascent,” “Fly Famous Mockingbird,” “Icculus” and Talking Heads’ “Psycho Killer.” Last night’s show didn’t feature any bust outs, but did offer two songs the band revived after reuniting in 2009: “Esther” and the James Gang’s “Walk Away.” Phish continued to play material from its Party Time bonus album, including “Party Time” and “Alaska.” A cover of Los Lobos’ “When The Circus Comes To Town” was reportedly played in honor of a nearby Cirque du Soleil. Phish will return to Hartford this evening.
