Over the weekend Widespread Panic performed two shows at Raleigh’s Walnut Creek Amphitheater. Band of Horses opened both nights and the group’s Ryan Monroe joined in on keys during each of the gigs. On Friday, Monroe sat in during a version of “Ride Me High” while on Saturday he appeared for a cover of Neil Young’s “Vampire Blues.” The Saturday show also saw the band premiere the title track on its forthcoming release, Dirty Side Down. The shows also featured guest percussion by Steve Lopez (Friday) and Wally Ingram (Saturday), while Jerry Joseph who has been gigging in a duo with Ingram also stepped out on Saturday for his composition, “North.”
