Umphrey’s McGee has confirmed that iClips will broadcast the band’s inaugural UMBowl event this Saturday, April 24. Fans who pre-order the live broadcast will be able to stream four previously unreleased shows from 2009. The four shows will be available for streaming the days leading up to UMBowl, and for 30 days following the event.

According to the band, the shows that will be made available are:

March 25, 2009: Cains Ballrooom, Tulsa, Oklahoma
March 26, 2009: Liberty Hall, Lawrence, Kansas
March 27, 2009: The Pageant, St. Louis, Missouri
March 28, 2009: Minglewood Hall, Memphis, Tennessee

As previously reported, UMBowl will feature four unique musical quarters. The First Quarter will kick off with an acoustic set chosen entirely by attendees. The Second Quarter will showcase their successful Stew Art Series (S2). Q2 will be entirely improvised and driven by bi-directional text communication. The playlist for Q3 will be decided by the votes of fans. And for Q4, the fans in attendance are the quarterback. The band will begin a set of UM classics, and along the way, they will be able to “call an audible” by texting in their vote as to which direction the band should go in.

The official UMBowl tailgate will be hosted at Chicago’s The Store, which is just a few blocks from Lincoln Hall. The event will begin at 4:30 PM with draft beer, tailgate grub, Syn girls and more. Wristbands will be available at the door on a first come first serve basis for $25.00, cash-only.
