New York concert promoter Rocks Off has confirmed the initial lineup for its 10th annual spring and summer concert cruises. The three-hour boat ride around New York promises: “Bands, booze, bridges and great times. A totally unique setting for a night you’ll never forget, the Rocks Off Concert Cruises harken back to the pre-Bloomberg/Giuliani era of booze and smoke fueled rock and roll extravaganzas.” The series will kick off the weekend of April 8. Of particular note is a Silent Soundclash cruise featuring DJ Motion Potion and DJ SmallChange. Similar to the silent disco events at Bonnaroo, Jam Cruise and other festivals, Silent Soundclash allows fans to experience live DJs though wireless headphones.
Other highlights aboard Rocks Off ships like The Jewel, the Half Moon, the Temptress and the The Paddlewheel Queen include Brothers Past, RANA, Vertical Horizon, the Electric Six, the Pietasters, Eric Krasno 7 Chapter 2, Joe Krown, Walter “Wolfman” Washington & Russell Batiste and The Machine. Rocks Off will also present cruises to both of Dave Matthews Band’s shows at Queens, NY’s Citi Field.
