Tyagarah, AU’s Byron Bay Blues Festival is currently underway. A number of U.S. acts made their way overseas for the festival, including Jack Johnson, Galactic, Dr. John, Ozomatli, ALO, Matt Costa and the Avett Brothers. During Johnson’s performance he brought a number of these musicians to the stage. ALO guitarist Dan Lebowitz emerged for “Flake” and then “Let it Be Sung,” a song co-written by Johnson, Matt Costa and most of the members of ALO. Costa also sat in on “Let it Be Sung,” as well as “Fault Line” and his own “Sunshine.” In addition, the Ozomatli horns emerged for “Mud Football.”
