Phish will make its first appearance at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony this evening. The Fuse television network has confirmed that the Vermont Quartet will open the show with a “few Genesis classics.” The band is expected to play two songs by the veteran rock band.

As previously reported, Trey Anastasio will induct the band into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this evening. The ceremony will take place at New York’s Waldorf Astoria. The gala event will air on Fuse at 8:30 PM. The 2010 Rock n’ Roll Hall Of Fame inductees include: ABBA, Genesis, Jimmy Cliff, The Hollies, The Stooges, David Geffen, Barry Mann & Cynthia Weil, Ellie Greenwich & Jeff Barry, Jesse Stone, Mort Shuman and Otis Blackwell.
