The High Sierra Music Festival revealed its initial round of artists yesterday on YouTube. The festival’s announcement video offered a nod to Steve Jobs and Apple’s “There’s an App for that” iPhone commercials. The catchphrase became “There’s an Act” for that groups such as The Avett Brothers, Bela Fleck, Zakir Hussain, and Edgar Meyer, Ozomatli, Femi Kuti and Positive Force and Railroad Earth were announced. Other performers set to appear include: The New Mastersounds (who provided the soundtrack to the video via their song “The Minx”), Dr. Dog, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, Cornmeal, The Slip, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Blitzen Trapper, Nels Cline Singers, The Infamous Stringdusters, Surprise Me Mr. Davis, BLVD , Telepath, Carolyn Wonderland, Darol Anger’s Republic Of Strings featuring Sharon Gilchrist, Great American Taxi, Johnny Vidacovich, Robert Walter Duo, Big Light, Trampled By Turtles and Zach Deputy.

Tickets are now on sale for the 20th annual installment of High Sierra, which will take place from July 1-4 at the Plumas-Sierra County Fairgrounds in Quincy, CA.
