Steve Kimock is currently working on his first album of the decade. The guitarist is offering fans an opportunity to design the album’s cover. According to Kimock’s camp, “Now is your chance to design the cover art for Steve Kimock’s first album of the decade! We’re accepting art styles of all types for our yet-to-be-named “Fan-Made Album”. All entries must include front and back cover art as well as a cohesive design for the CD itself, and must be submitted according to the official submission guidelines The winner will receive an autographed copy of the final product featuring their cover art and 1 pair of tickets to the show of their choice in 2010 (festivals and some special events excluded). The winning designs will be selected by SKP and will be placed on display at www.kimock.com during the duration of the contest. The Submission period ends Friday, Feb 5th – the winner will be announced on Monday, Feb 8th.”

Kimock will offer a live score to Buster Keaton’s Cops at New York’s Merkin Concert Hall this evening. Justin Vernon of Bon Iver will also score Charlie Chaplin’s One A.M on the same bill.
