Mike Gordon’s multi-media collaboration with his mother Marjorie Minkin and tech guru Jamie Robertson will be on display at the Boston Children’s Museum through March 31. “Another Side of In,” meshes Minkin’s painted plastic sculptures with loops from Gordon’s 2003 album Inside In. Minkin—the inspiration for an early Phish song of the same name—used to paint backdrops for Phish’s early shows. After the release of Inside In, she began working with her son the “Another Side of In” installation.

“I often describe my mom as my biggest influence, partly because she’s always been into stretching limits,” Gordon recently told the Boston Herald. “A typical day growing up would be coming across Mom using rollers to spread 10-gallon buckets of acrylic paints across giant canvases.
