As previously reported, Ben Harper is among the special guests slated to appear on Ringo Starr’s new studio album Y Not. Harper and his band Relentless7 will also perform with Starr this week. The former Beatle and the sometimes Innocent Criminal will perform at a secret location in New York City on Thursday, January 14 at 12 PM. Fans can enter a lottery for a chance to win tickets to the show, which will be filmed for future broadcast by the Artists Den.

In related news, Starr will make his first appearance on the site of original Woodstock Music & Arts Festival when he headlines Bethel, NY’s Bethel Woods Center for the Arts on June 26. The Beatles famously declined to play Woodstock in 1969, though rumors continued to circulate that the band would make a surprise appearance. Starr was set to headline the venue in 2008, but due to an equipment breakdown on the tour, the date was cancelled. Starr is the first Beatle to play the legendary site. For this show His All Starr Band will include: Rick Derringer, Richard Page (Mister Mister), Wally Palmer (The Romantics), Edgar Winter and Gary Wright.
