The Disco Biscuits’ run at New York’s Nokia Theater continued last night. Pnuma Trio opened the night and, during the Disco Biscuits’ second set, The New Deal’s Jamie Shields emerged for a few songs. The keyboardist took the stage during “Lunar Pursuit” and remained with the band for “Orch Theme” and a set-closing cover of Pink Floyd’s “Run Like Hell.” Shields, who has played in such Disco Biscuits side-projects as The Maui Project, JM2, Sucker Punch, Laverneus Cool and the L Cool Trio, is in town for a New Deal show at New York’s BB King Blues Club tonight. According to Disco Biscuits.net, the band’s second set was written by Rich Cohn.
